Richland, WA – Through its $5,000 contribution to the Washington State STEM Education Foundation InnovaTek is a founding sponsor of the Mid-Columbia STEM Network which is being created to make a substantial and sustainable impact on the quality of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education in the Mid-Columbia.  It is one of several STEM networks across Washington State designed to support a unified system of STEM education – fostering partnerships, scaling best practices, and increasing impact.

“As the owner of a business that creates and manufactures innovative clean energy technology, I witness on a daily basis the need for employees with a rich STEM education” said Dr. Patricia Irving, founder and CEO of InnovaTek.  “It provides the foundation to help solve complex problems in collaborative and creative ways.  I am excited to be a founding member of this community’s STEM Network to help increase opportunities for young people to participate in high-demand, high-paying STEM careers that contribute to a sustainable future. We live in a complex world where critical decisions and choices must be made for problems and issues that are difficult to understand.  A STEM-literate population in all realms of society will contribute to informed decision-making and meaningful progress for future generations.”
