RICHLAND, WA - Dr. Patricia Irving, President and CEO of InnovaTek, will be featured as a panelist at this week’s Energy Tech Investor Conference in San Francisco. The 2-day conference will examine the challenges, opportunities, and outlook facing energy technology companies today and what corporate and strategic buyers are looking for in their energy technology investments.

Dr. Irving’s panel will discuss breakthroughs in the use and integration of advanced materials leading to energy conservation, low cost production, pollution abatement, and process technologies. Her specific input will focus on the advances enabled by micro-reaction and nano-technologies.

Energy is the backbone of our nation’s economy and energy technology has emerged as one of the most important catalysts of change in the 21 st century. Not surprisingly, energy technology has attracted significant interest from the venture capital community in recent years. Venture capital investments in the U.S. alone for energy-technology start-up companies reached $428 million in 2003. Yet given the potential market for energy technology the sector still remains one of the few underserved areas of investment within the venture capital community.

The 2004 Energy Tech Investor Conference brings together leaders from the energy technology community to share their perspectives on this important area of venture capital investment.
